How long are the sessions? Sessions are typically 1 hour long. For young children, this will include both working with the child and providing parent education.

Where do sessions take place? Sessions take place either online or in your home. I am also available to go to long-term care or supportive living facilities depending on policies and guidelines.

How often are therapy sessions? Therapy sessions are often once a week, but the frequency can be discussed based on your schedule and your goals. I may provide you with homework that you can complete on your own time between the sessions. The homework is always optional but strongly recommended to get the most out of therapy.

Are speech pathology services covered by insurance? Many insurance companies will cover services provided by a speech-language pathologist. Talk with your provider to find out more details.

Do you do direct billing with insurance? No, but I will provide you with a receipt of services that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

What can I expect in a session? To get the most out of the session, I encourage one or two adult family members to attend along with the client, especially for the first couple of sessions as you may have lots of questions. For children, one parent/guardian should be present and preferably no siblings at the start.

What are the payment options? I am currently accepting payment by e-transfer or cash. Payment is due at the end of each session.

What are your COVID-19 policies? I am following all guidelines set out by the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists & Audiologists (ACSLPA).
